Community Health Nurses provide education and support for families to make healthy choices for nutrition, pregnancy, new parenting, disease prevention, safety and so much more.

- Healthy Pregnancy Program Support (Nutrition, Breastfeeding Support & Exercise)

Community Health Workers
Community Health Workers assist community members to make healthy lifestyle choices and help clients become independent. This is achieved by using health-related knowledge and skills encompassing the physical, emotional, mental, and physiological health of the Stó:lō people.
Services provided include:
- Community Advocacy, Empowerment, And Participation
- Health Promotion And Protection
- Illness And Injury Prevention
- Care Card Applications And Medical Transportation Assistance
- FNHA Benefits (Formerly Non-Insured Health Benefits)
- Health Awareness Workshops
- Schedule Immunizations
- Referrals for services in Stó:lō Nation and Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Family Doctors, And Home Care Services
Baby Time
Baby time is a 2-hour session hosted at SNHS and in affiliated communities for pre-natal and families with children under the age of one. A registered nurse is available during these sessions to support new families.
Baby time programs and services include:
- Nutrition
- Range of topics including baby safety, common pregnancy complaints, common childhood illnesses, etc.
- Guest speakers to talk about available services throughout the community.
- Baby weight
- Chance for families and babies to interact with other families
