INDIAN REGISTRY

Indian Registry services are available by appointment Tuesdays through Thursdays. To schedule an appointment, please contact us via email or call 604-824-3266. You can find us at Building 8A – North Side Entrance.

Important information about your appointment

  • Ensure that you allow sufficient time for travel
  • Late arrivals will be re-scheduled
  • No unscheduled walk-ins

If you are applying for the Certificate of Indian Status Card (CIS) (paper laminate), you'll need:

  • A (1” X 1”) recent photo of your head and shoulders (No headgear, no sunglasses)
  • Two valid IDs, one with a photo
  • Same-day issuance

If you are applying for the Secure Certificate of Indian Status Card (SCIS), you'll need:

  • Two recent passport photos, one photo must be stamped on the back
  • One valid picture ID
  • Mail-in process, approximately 17 weeks or more

All registered status members are encouraged to apply for the SCIS card as it is more secure. The card remains valid for 10 years for individuals aged 16 and older, and 5 years for 15 and under.

Find support for mental health, substance use, harm reduction, and guidance to improve well-being and address substance use concerns.

Mental Wellness & Counseling

Receive access to in-house, and FNHA contracted counselors and therapists who can help both in-person or virtually.

Medical Travel & Accommodation

Get assistance with meals, lodging, and transportation for medical appointments outside your area. Contact us for details.

Adult In-Home Care

A financial means test (copy of Income tax).
A doctor’s note.

Homemaker Services Application and Homemaker Services Evaluation Form to be filled out during home visit.

Please note: One must live on reserve to access services and live on one of the 9 communities CDD Social Services are delegated to provide services to.
The purpose of Adult In-Home Care is to provide support for clients to stay in their home for as long as it is safe and reasonable. The workers provide personal care, meal preparation and light housekeeping.

Stó:lō Elder's Lodge

We offer 15 ground level assisted living suites for seniors and persons with disabilities, each with a kitchenette, bathroom, and living space. Care is provided by a team including nurses, care aids, activity aids, and cooks. Access requires assessment through Fraser Health Home Health. Call 1-855-412-2121 for an assessment.

Elder's Day Program

Join us every Friday for the Elders’ Day Program, a collaboration with Fraser Health that offers seniors enriching activities, a delicious meal, gentle exercises, and valuable socializing time. We gather in Building 7, main floor, and look forward to welcoming you.

Family Caregiver Support

Fraser Health Indigenous Services has launched a new Caregiver pilot project to help families care for elders at home by providing clinical and emotional support, reducing hospital visits, and allowing current elders to stay home longer. The project funding is limited to 20 Elders and at this point is full.

Our team is always happy to plan visits with elders. Whether it's to sit and enjoy a leisurely cup of tea together, play a friendly game of crib, or take a leisurely stroll in the warm sunshine, we're committed to creating meaningful and joyful experiences for our elderly friends.
